Buckley, Washington - 98321

History

Buckley has a long history or hard work and manual labor. Incorporated in 1890, the town had been named twice, ('Perkin's Prairie" in 1882 and "White River Siding" in 1884) before finally becoming officially known the the name we all know today, in 1887. This plateau town, once booming with the logging, mining, and farming industries rests right between the White River and the Carbonado River valleys. The area was once a hotspot for people from all walks of life, like miners, loggers, mill workers, farmers, herders, and even gold panners that would pan the rivers below. Resting near the base of beautiful Mount Rainier, Buckley's logging and mining industries have since died down into a quiet community that is still home to farmers today. Residents and tourists alike enjoy the annual Buckley Log show held every June in downtown to celebrate the towns rich cultural history from the logging days.

Common Wildlife

Buckley's diverse landscape of thick forest and open, rolling pasture land provides many species of animals a place to call home. From skunks and opossums, to deer and elk, you're bound to have a run-in with wildlife here. Animals love to take advantage of the readily available food and shelter provided by farms AND homes in the area. Places like barns, outbuildings, sheds, carports, haylofts, crawlspaces, and attics are all fair game for these pesky home-invaders. When you live amongst wildlife, you are likely to have a problem with them at some point in time.

Wildlife Damage

Regardless of the critter you may be dealing with, damage and hazardous waste are always the number one concern with property owners. Rodents, while small in size, can become quite the problem. They are host to a variety of different parasites and diseases as well as their droppings being very toxic. This can become a dangerous situation if a food or water source becomes contaminated. They are also infamous for chewing through electrical wiring and destroying insulation and stores of hay and straw. We deal with all kinds of critters, regardless of the size of the problem. We provide clean-up, restoration, hazardous waste material, repair, exclusion, trapping, removal, and more.  The fact of the matter is, everyone deals with wildlife. You are not alone. 206.431.6833
